Haiku

This is the first page which is the beginning of some haiku. This is a learning process which you can experience along with me. I hope to be adding more pages with seven haikus on each. For those who know me, you know the reason for this. If you would like you can let me know what you think.

listen

listen to the winds,
to the stories, the prayers
they carry always,

       injustice

       injustice is visited
       on those who are innocent,
       guileless acts always.

             peace

              harmony, balance
peace to come to Big Mountain
              for all the People.

                     eagle

                     clouds drift in the sky,
                     forming the eagle overhead
                     close to Creator.

                            fear

                            like a starless night,
                            it surrounds the innocent
                            black and ominous.

                                   blindness

                                   refusing to see -
                                   closing off the mind always
                                   is the worst blindness.

                            respect

                            reverence for all
for the land and its beauty
                            is for the People.

           death

           one life gone, snuffed out
           just like that gone forevermore--
           like it means nothing.

                            rain

                            female rain falling
                            the sky becomes a blanket
                            getting darker now.

the wolf is my messenger
